The Hot lunch programme is our biggest fundraiser and participation / ordering is optional. All LVE families may select items for any / all lunch sessions.
Toppings: For Subway, you add toppings at the end of your order.
Prices: Hot lunch is the PAC's largest fundraiser, as such we add a small profit to each item. This year we have seen, like many restaurants, suppliers have raised their prices. Some prices are up 25% or more, others 5%. We have reduced our profit margin on some items to keep the menu as affordable as possible. Other items - like a small fee for gluten-free options have no profit. We know these costs add up.
PLEASE PACK RE-USABLE CUTLERY - the school and PAC can not supply cutlery.
Consider volunteering! Our volunteer Hot Lunch team relies on parent volunteers to help distribute lunches each Tuesday, it a short time commitment and always fun. If you can, please consider signing up via [email protected] (even once helps!)

1. What is Hot Lunch?
- Hot Lunch is a weekly program that runs from October until June, where local restaurants deliver fresh, hot meals. Children receive what they order, and participation is voluntary. All proceeds directly benefit LVE students through PAC-funded items and activities.
2. When and how do I order food for my child?
- Hot Lunch ordering happens twice a year (September & January), through MunchaLunch.
- After registering, you will be asked to add your children to your family account.
- Follow the steps to Create my Account and proceed to Order Lunch.
3. How do I pay?
- We prefer you pay via Credit Card through your Munch a Lunch account. If you are paying by cheque, it must be in the PAC box in the office by the hot lunch deadline or your order will be canceled.
4. What if I forgot what I've ordered?
- Login to your Munch a Lunch account.
- To see what you have ordered, select "My Account", then click on "My Orders".
5. What is the refund policy?
- If your child is absent or sick, you can pick up his/her lunch at 12:15pm (at the school kitchen by the music room), or kindly consider it a donation. No refunds will be issued.
6. How do I make changes to an order?
- Changes can only be made while the ordering session is open for ordering. To add more items, simply log into your account and select items to add. Please be aware that once the ordering has closed for the current session no changes can be made.
7. Can I help out with Hot Lunch?
- Yes please! 8-10 volunteers are needed from 11:55 to 12:25pm on Hot Lunch Days. At the end of the online ordering process, you can check-mark any date that you are available, and you will be contacted to confirm the schedule. 8. Are Hot Lunch containers recyclable?
- To reduce the amount of waste generated, the Hot Lunch crew has implemented a Hot Lunch recycling program. Lunch monitors have been trained on how to help younger students sort their recycling. At the end of the lunch hour, monitors take the recycling to the kitchen for washing and sorting. Almost everything is recycled, thanks to their hard work.
